The Harry Josh Pro Tools Hair Dryer is the second iteration of their Harry Josh halo product, known for its heavy-duty performance and lightweight ergonomics. The goal was to refine its existing visual DNA, including the mint-green chassis and signature banana handle, while implementing a new engineering package and improved user experience. The toggle switch control layout, a design request from the client, focused on upgrading the UX for fast-paced salon environments by allowing quick and accurate adjustments. While mass-production cost thresholds for a the new high-performance internal motor ultimately kept this design unreleased, the project stands as study in balancing brand heritage with modern design evolution.
