Evolving a cult Icon.

The Harry Josh Pro Tools Hair Dryer is the second iteration of their Harry Josh halo product, known for its heavy-duty performance and lightweight ergonomics. The goal was to refine its existing visual DNA, including the mint-green chassis and signature banana handle, while implementing a new engineering package and improved user experience. We focused on upgrading the workflow for fast-paced salon environments, introducing a highly tactile and integrated toggle switch layout. While mass-production cost thresholds for a the new high-performance internal motor ultimately kept this design unreleased, the project stands as study in balancing brand heritage with modern design evolution.

Redesigned toggle switch control system is integrated into the banana grip. The curved grip and soft transitional intersection into the body allows for the variety of grip and hand placements professional stylists use in the salon.
