All the juice. None of the squeeze.
Cubo, an innovative startup, pioneered a frictionless approach to healthy beverage creation by utilizing frozen, concentrated juice pods. These pods effectively eliminate the mess and inefficiency of traditional juicing. Tasked with launching their foundational hardware we collaborated closely with Cubo’s engineering team to optimize component packaging, establish a cohesive visual brand language, and architect a unique and intuitive user experience.
The appliance’s internal architecture presented a distinct challenge: the mechanical overhead and structural hardware were concentrated at the top, threatening a heavy, unproportional silhouette. To mitigate this apparent visual mass, we developed a segmented form language that divides the chassis into three clean, architectural volumes. This strategic break not only reduced the perceived bulk but beautifully demarcated the user’s interactive journey into a logical, top-to-bottom workflow. The engagement flow is seamless: inserting the pod into the top-loading aperture, configuring preferences on the flush UI screen, placing the glass beneath the sculptural spout, and discarding the pod into a magnetically suspended bin. This attention to tactile interaction is rounded out by an integrated magnetic drip tray that self-registers and cleanly stores beneath the machine when not in use.
